    RTP Lunchtime Ultimate is on the fields at the intersection of Cornwallis and East Institute Drive. From Cornwallis turn onto East Institute Dr. The parking lot for the fields is the first left. A map of the RTI Campus is available at http://www.rti.org/pubs/rti_international_maps.pdf Please post your status (even if you can't play) by 10am on game day, then check for a go/nogo email confirming the game and any weather related updates. Ultimate Frisbee, commonly referred to as Ultimate, is a limited contact sport. Like American Football and Rugby, teams score points by getting the Frisbee to the opposing team's end zone.

Ultimate Frisbee History

Ultimate Frisbee was invented in 1968 at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey. Joel Silver a student at the school founded the game, likely adapted from a version of Frisbee Football. At the time, Ultimate Frisbee was seen as a counterculture activity.
