Gentlemen,
I regret to announce that the Fall 2009 Men's League Softball has been cancelled.
Despite our efforts to secure a field to conduct our league, we were not able to. The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Dept. whom we normally rent field space from only had an unlighted field for us to rent. Due to the fact that our goal was to play on weeknights, this field obviously did not work for us.
Once we realized this, I personally reached out to Knightdale, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Cary and Garner. Unfortunately, none of these municipalities had any lighted field space avalable for rent this fall.
This is a sad day for us at Capital Area Team Sports and Men's League Softball. I want to thank all of you for your interest in our league.
Please note that this obviously means that this weekends' (Aug 8 & 9) Draft Combine at Worthdale Park has been canceled as well.
